Saw that tv commercial on KUAM, the one where Angel Santos and Ms. Garrido speaks on behalf of karl and barbie doll efforts to return land to Chamorro people. What a joke, that video was shot on the 94 campaign! see that "94" sticker in the background? Seems the 98 boys are getting desperate, it's insulting to the people of Guam that this current administration thinks the people are so stupid as to believe that HITA supports them, in their dreams! See the fear in karl and barbie doll's face..

Gonna see alot of B.S in the next few weeks, don't let it change your mind.

The lady who came forward to testify in defense of Sen.Charf. is a brave person, hear what the so called lawyer for tomyy boy's response to her statements, that guy's a geek, he's scared as well. Give her a lie detector test to see if she's lieing as he states, tomyy boy's crew wouldn't want that to happen because it might show that she IS telling the truth.

flame on..

The video of Angel Santos was shot in late 1996 or 1997 at the Harmon Cliffline demonstration. The video of Patty Garrido was just shot last week at a pocket meeting.

There are too many holes in that girl's testimony for it to be true. For example, she supposedly smoked ice three times and then went to sleep. Ice is a stimulant which would have her up for hours. Also, why haven't any of the police officers come forward or any Golden Motel employees who surely would have heard the "screaming and yelling" she claims took place. I don't believe it and I don't think a majority of the people do - whether or not they are voting for Ada or Gutierrez.

-- Eloise (Elfin9@yahoo.com), October 09, 1998.

Yea! I'm sure! Maybe ice makes most people wide awake, but everyone doesn't always have the same reaction to the drug, especially the first time she used it as she claims. Another thing you should remember is not to speak for "most" of the people you claim to just dismiss this issue as false, did you ask "most" of them? As for the police officers coming forward, are you insane? you must be blind to the fact of the ramifications of such testimony. It's widely understood what can happen..namely,retaliation. Come on eloise! be serious. Even IF this lady is making up this story, I know I, and a few others for sure, because I asked them, still won't vote for carla.. oops, I mean karla and barbie doll.

BTW, did the 98 boys get Angel Santo's permission to use the video clip? shot sometime between 1 or 2 years ago as you state?

I watched the news last night too and the girl says the incident occured in 1994, when JOE ADA was governor and ADOLPH SGAMBELLURI was Chief of Police. Why would they cover the incident up if it were true?!

Angel Santos was well aware that he was being filmed when he spoke at the Harmon Cliffline. KUAM was there and so was the PDN.

-- Eloise (Elfin9@yahoo.com), October 09, 1998.

The KUAM poltical commerical showing Angel Santos and Patty Garrido at the Harmon Cliff shows the good and respected Angel fighting for the people's rights. Today, the Angel with Ada is the one so wrapped up in hate and power that he loses touch with the world around him.... a Lucifer in a situation that he can't handle. Chelu Angel, chart your own path before your flamboyant strength becomes a fatal weakness and the Chamorro lands become extinct.

-- Hearfelt (Joserios71@hotmail.com), October 09, 1998.

Eloise,

So you admit that the video CLIP of Angel giving an ounce of credit to the King was probably 2 1/2 years ago (not in 1997, because Angel wasn't at that Harmon Cliffline event), before Angel became dead set against the King's corrupt ways. It is extremely deceptive to put "senator in 24th Guam Legislature" next to Angel when he's saying this, because he was in the 23rd Legislature at the time and even more deceptive is that it looks like Angel is endorsing the King for the 1998 election, when Angel has explicitly said he's endorsing JOE ADA!

And the Patty Garrido clip was just as deceptive -- they labeled here as a chamorro rights activist, neglecting to mention that she's paid many thousands of dollars to speak for the governor. But we've come to expect this deception from the King.

Your claims about the girl's testimony have already been refuted, so I won't bother to address them. But I think most people DO believe what she's saying, especially in the light that the governor offered her HALF A MILLION DOLLARS and a plane ticket, AND A GUARANTEE OF HER SAFETY, if she didn't testify. If she's so unbelievable, why is the governor so worried about her testifying? My source for this info is her testimony, which is a court document now.

To the brilliant Heartfelt:

Once again you have ingeniously written without saying anything. Your empty statements do nothing to further this forum. Please explain in detail why Angel was fighting for the people's rights two years ago but isn't doing so now when he tries to expose the corruption in the King's administration.

To Eloise: I forgot to address your incisive Joe Ada/Adolph Sgambelluri defense of the drug coverup in 1994. Yes, those two men were in charge, but it is entirely possible that high police officials below Sgamby covered up the bust and didn't tell Sgamby about it. Those high police officials have benefitted from Karl's election as governor, and it's possible they were appointed because of their knowledge of that incident.

People of Guam and Lighthouse

Heartfelt is a dreamer, a peace lover and would like to see the success, prosperity and power of the people of Guam as one family. I would like our leaders to be in emotional tranquility to heal our system of ills. However it seems that our pride creates the illusion of competence, power and superiority over others is a damper. In order to have peace we must a positive outlook in life and respect for ourselves and others. The acknowledgement of our weakness and humility for growth makes it easier to accept and forgive the weakness of others. We must embrace morality but not use it to destroy others or to obtain short term gratification.

Love, Prayers and Peace to Guam

Heartfelt, Good concept and vision, Too bad it's just a pipedream. Maybe you should take the good doctors advise and try smoking a whole joint at one sitting, maybe your dreams will take one step closer to reality..in your head.

Heartfelt,

You have said a lot of broad, empty phrases again, but have failed to adress the question or say anything of meaning. I am asking you to back up a statement you've made, and you seem to refuse to do so. Is that because you don't have an answer?

Here again is my request: Please explain in detail why you think Angel was fighting for the people's rights two years ago but isn't doing so now when he tries to expose the corruption in the King's administration.

If you fail to address this question, we'll know you have no justification.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 10, 1998.

People of Guam are not stupid. They all know that Angel is endorsing Ada/Camacho. Look around you. It's clear to see that HITA & Ada/Camacho are UNITED.

-- A Simple Man (ABC@yahoo.com), October 10, 1998.

Simple Man

You may not be not as simply as stupid as you are cause you know your 'ABC's. On the issue on hand the commerical helps to reveal the evolution of Angel L.G. Santos from good to Lucifer. Today, Angel is a sorry loser, confused and filled with pride and arrogance. First a democrat, then an independent and now a republican in one election... makes Carl look like a saint. Do you really think that the voters of Guam look up to Angel now? I look forward to the election to find out.

Love and Peace to the People of Guam.

-- Heartfelt (Joserios@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

The only ABCs that we need to know is Anyone But Carl. You should learn these ABCs too Heartfelt!

-- (Valendino@usa.net), October 11, 1998.

Heartfelt,

Party politics are a thing of the past. Democrat or republican, it doesn't matter. Why is ok for republicans to back 98 but not ok for democrats to back Ada? Party politics don't matter whn you've got a guy like Carl in there.

Eloise,

There were TWO separate incidents involving Tommy and Ice use at the Golden Motel. One in 1994 and one in 1996. So Charfauros got the year, we mean years, wrong.

That's right, two separate incidents. Tommy running for senator was REALLY stupid, but being caught in the same place TWICE was really stupid.

-- (guamnews@hotmail.com), October 11, 1998.

Heartfelt,

You have failed once again to address why angel was fighting for our people two years ago but now that he's a "republican" as you state, he's not fighting for us when he tries to expose Karl's korruption. Don't have an explanation? Thought so.

If you know you're wrong, my dear heartfelt, please retract your statement. It's a little deceiving for you to put out an illogical, misleading statement and leave it there once the holes in your thinking have been pointed out. And the holes are HUGE.

-- Lighthouse (lighthouse1999@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

Heartfelt,

Your statements are confusing and have no substance. But then again, it is probably because you are not keyed into the real issues at hand. You claim that Angel is now a lucifer. How would you know this unless you have met one before.

-- A Simple Man (ABC@yahoo.com), October 11, 1998.

There will always be corruption in the government even though Ada is govenor.

-- Internet (don_wuan@hotmail.com), October 13, 1998.

Yeah, you're right internet, but the degree of how blatent it is occurring nowdays is just hopeless. Do you really want another 4 years of this? Unless you somehow benefit from all this shameless self-promotion, I cannot see any reason, unless you just wish to see Guam go further down the tubes.

Corruption will still occur when Joe Ada GETS elected due to the fact that some of the same people will somehow get their soft hands in positions of power by kissing ass to whoever they need to get want they want. Hopefully, with all this current exposure of corruption, in the future, people in public office will think twice(in a perfect world!) about it before going ahead with the corrupt deeds. Instead of $75,000 for office furniture, maybe it will be $5000 instead? use the remainder to fix the potholes in the roads, buy schoolbooks.. just an example BTW.

Food for thought... johnny-boy

-- johnny-boy cruze (thumb@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

Yeah, then Joe Ada gets elected, and instead of us getting roads, Joe pens MULTI MILLION dollar contracts with all his architect friends to design dozens of buildings that will never get built. Or perhaps he can buy more WOODEN classrooms that will blow away... or I REALLY like it when he borrows money two years in a row to pay my tax refund late... yeah, then my kids can pay it back later.... or i REALLY REALLY like it when he buys those little expensive fast track generators.... lots of them, that use the expensive fuel.. then my power can go out constantly, and I can pay twice as much for my power. Yeah, Joe's a much better choice....... BONEHEAD.

-- Janey Girl (jane@ite.net), October 13, 1998.

Janey Girl

Joe Ada is the reason why we don't have power rationing any more. All the improvements were a result of the Ada administration that just happened to carry over to Karl's term. All you 86'ers I mean 98'ers should just give up already!

-- (valendino@usa.net), October 13, 1998.

Alright!, way to go jane girl! Go ahead and vote fer yer man karl. What? you or your relatives got jobs from karl or what? no be shy, just tell us lidat! I'm sure he can do plenty betta.. so give him your vote, as for me, I'm ABC all the way, so sorry.

see ya! johnny-boy

-- johnny-boy cruze (thumb@yahoo.com), October 13, 1998.

I vote for Joe Ada because we need to have electric power load shedding to save money for more white and black beaches for all the terrirory of Guam people. This is the mauleg way.

-- Mauleg Way (Power Hunger @kuentos.guam), October 14, 1998.

I vote for Carl Gutierrez because he gives all the public money to his friend like me and we get rich so we can all be still the one. He gives us furniture from GTA, lots of government jobs and contracts to his buddie like me. Its the 98 way!
