Bad news for Titanic concert-goers - it's been cancelled! Oh, the pain..

Sorry everyone, but the Titanic concert in L.A. this weekend has been, gulp, cancelled. Yes, I know. I'm quite upset too. Actually, more dissapointed. And what, no warning?? I went to the Wherehouse and called TicketMaster. THey claim to not know why, and to their knowlegde there will not be a re-scheduling. Ahhh! I think now I'm rather miffed. Don't worry, we'll get our money back. Just go to the wherehouse or somewhere in contact with ticketmaster and they'll give you a refund. All I have to say is what a sad dissaspointment! I want some answers. It was my birthday present. Drat. So how many of you guys here were going, including me and my family!! How many other people here feel the way I do? Arg, and to think of all the excitement. There had better be some kind of a rescheduling. Maybe james Horner got sick, or they didn't sell enough tickets. But it was nearly sold out! Heck, it probably was! Well, there is nothing left to say but why oh why. And a couple of occasional swearing into my pillow....

Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about the cancellation of the concert. I feel bad for you, your family and your B-day. All I can say is just Happy B-day! And I feel equally sorry for Michael and all the people who planned their trip to attend it.

I cancelled my trip to LA ! AT LEAST THE BEGINNING OF THE CELINE DION CONCERT HAD FOUR MINUTES WORTH OF GRAND TITANIC MUSIC! We must get a real answer as to why this concert was cancelled.

Thanks Dan, and sorry to you too Michael. I hope there will be at least some kind of a rescheduling. What a dissapointment! Well, thanks for the Happy Birthday wish. It's still been a great one, minus the cancellation of the concert. Oh, I was looking forward to that since the day I saw it in the paper! Sigh. I guess all we can do right now is wait for some answers. Darn. Well, thanks anyway. Kelly :-)

With the second soundtrack album a flop, and millions of "Titanic" videos taking up precious floor space in supermarkets and drugstore cosmetic counters nationwide, maybe the the problem could best be summed up by the lament of the officer in the lifeboat that went back in the movie: "You waited too long." This concert would have been a huge success in March or April, as the second soundtrack album would have been. But 10 months after the movie was released? What were they thinking? Obviously, cooler heads and wiser accountants prevailed, and the concert was cancelled due to lack of interest.

Didn't I read somewhere that the concert was almost sold out? I for one would be in line the night before with my sleeping bag if they ever came to Australia. To hear that music live would be excellent.

I have to agree with Emma. There are lots of fans out there who would want to be at this concert. It is pure music, a divine concert and very uplifting. You hear the music, look around to catch emotions and impressions and try to remember various scenes from the movie. A quiz for the heart, a violine for the soul...Hmm, maybe I should start writing poems...or movie scripts =)

I sentence Mr. Dalton to a castration by a group of Titanic lovers for the crime of extreme bad taste!

Michael, you'll have to get behind the group that wants to lynch me first! It feels so good to be loved. hahaha

By the way the soundtrack sequel hardly a flop it has just gone gold and is the most sucessful soundtrack sequel ever! The video is still #1 ON THE BILLBOARD VIDEO SALES CHART AFTER 5 WEEKS OF RELEASE! THE CONCERT MAY HAVE BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES RELATING TO THE SET UP OF SPECIAL EFFECTS,OR SO I HEARD,AND MAYBE STAGE FRIGHT FROM JAMES HORNER WHO HAS NEVER PERFORMED BEFORE A HUGE PAYING AUDIENCE.
