45kW Micro Turbine - multi fuel and generate your own electricity

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

Our company markets the Elliot micro turbine (yes a minature jet engine) that can be used with just about any fuel source, diesel, natural gas, propane, alcohol, kerosene.... etc. If your concerned about the type of fuel that might be available on Y2K you might consider one of these to run your home or small business.

I asked Joel Skousen about turbine gen sets as I consider him to be the best source for advice and he said, "Too noisey, very expensive and fuel consumption is higher per output than any internal combustion engine." Now that's not to say there might not be some new facts that would change this or some special applications.
