The background compliments the shape of the flower nicely, and the backlighting on some of the petals produces a very nice color. But too much highlight area is blown out, and the foliage is lost in shadow. In other words, contrast kills this version of your picture. And are you sure it's a rose? Doesn't look like the color of any rose I've ever seen.

After scanning, it's contrast was much higher than that of the original picture. Did you have a similar problem ? Do you have any good idea to solve the problem?

Yes, it is a rose. The picture was taken in my yard.
