Tony, what is this about? DO= Depth Of (field)? That's what the diagram indicates. Are you asking a question? Or is this an answer to a question. What's gif? general illumination field? goodies in focus?

I think that it will bee an improvement if it was possible to upload jpeg´s on your fine site - Then all of us coudt see what we were talking about. Bur I can see that it is still long way to go????

This actually isn't that useful without the 'far' DOF chart. I did mean DOF for Near above. It would easily be better as a .JPG. I was fiddling around with graphics during the birth of this forum and just have never revisited to upload the far version.

I'm all messed up. I originally meant this to illustrate a greater DOF by with the indicated small lens aperture, while the one I never got around to producing would illustrate a minimal DOF with a maximum aperture.
