What is the best way to get a listing of the electric utility companies in a particular area, replete with mailing addresses? (Virginia & Kentucky are of particular interest to me.) Thanks.

You can get lists of elec. utilities by contacting the public service commnissions in those states. They probably list them on the web sites, i.e., www.psc.state.ky.us and www.state.wv.us/psc

Try this site for a complete list of all regulated utilities in KY. The first on the list are investor owned elec. utilities. These are all mailing lists.

WV has no listing of utilities at their site but there is a list of contacts and phone numbers. They should be able to provide you with a list. Give them a call.
