Clearing Sky through Tree

It's a pretty picture and I realize you wanted the clear blue hole in the clouds lined up behind the tree but that choice of composition does not appeal to me. Perhaps I would have preferred the blue sky to be above and to the right of the tree or something, but I'm not really sure that would work either.

I guess the root of the problem is that the whole cloudscape and tree just merge together to my eye somehow. I have no idea how to get more of a sense of depth in this type of picture but that's what it seems to need.

I think it this works better if the tree is a black silohette(SP?). It's really not about the clearing in the sky but about the tree and the sky.
