PRAM is the sequencer memory expansion for the K2000/K2500. It is also used for Program RAM, not just sequencer memory. The K2500 does have one of the most sophisticated sequencers ever put into a keyboard, so you can definitely get by without a computer. However the computer does have the visual advantage. You can see you music displayed in a variety of ways, it this often makes editing faster and easier. Other software sequencers like Logic from Emagic, take sequencing on a computer to a whole new level. So the computer definitely has its advantages.
