I am having no sucess in retrieving digital/video infromation from my Canon Optura into my Compaq 5630 pc. The Compaq comes with all the necessary hardware and software to do the job including the IEEE 1394 USB port. When attempting to use the Compaq's "DV DECK" program, It will not recognize that the camera is connected. I have spent several hours on the phone with both Compaq and Canon neither of which can solve the problem and typically blame each other for the problem. I would hope that someone out there may have a solution. Thanks much!
