The Titanic video debuted at #1 ON BILLBOARD VIDEO SALES CHART. According to the Hollywood Reporter,TITANIC SOLD BETWEEN 12-16 MILLION COPIES IN ITS FIRST WEEK OF RELEASE. THIS STILL FALLS BELOW THE LION KING WHICH SOLD ABOUT 20 MILLION COPIES IN ITS FIRST WEEK,YET IT SEEMS THAT MORE FAMILIES SEEM TO BUY VIDEOS THEN THE GENERAL POPULATION AS A WHOLE? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Children's videos, especially Disney animation, always top the video sales charts. Disney really works kids into a lather waiting for their product. Another reason is that parents realize that by buying (rather than renting) the video, they will keep the kids occupied for 100's of hours of repeat views and keep them from watching shows like Jerry Springer.
