I used to trim feet pretty high and Bob fussed, then I really lowered them. Now my show friends tell me to show those pretty feet, and I have a really hard time figuring out just How high to shave the foot and how to trim the poms to show the foot.

Hi Eva, I always trim right up to the two bones that kinda stick out on the sides of the foot. For instance if you take the foot in your hand place your index finger and thumb and each side of the foot then move upward until you feel the two bones that kinda stick out. Then make a straight line connecting the two. If you want it higher, then scissor the pom pom hair at a larger angle.(which is called beveling) I would not tclip much past the two bones. Eva- I shave the foot only up to the two slightly wider 'wrist bones'. If you go higher than this, you get a "high water pants" effect. In order to show the pretty feet, use scissors to trim off all the hair that overhangs the shaved area. Use the tips of the scissors to trim neatly, then fluff the hair out with the comb, and gently round the hair to blend with the leg hair above. Hope this helps. Caroline
