Can anyone give me the exact specifications of the DC in port on the Nikon Coolpix 900 ? Thank's.

Mfrs are very leery of giving out specs on these, afraid they'll encourage people like you (and me ;-) to monkey around with non-standard power sources. I don't know the answer on the Nikon, but FWIW, several people have had luck with a number of cameras simply making external battery packs of four batteries and plugging them in directly. This suggests that any power regulation is happening in the AC adaptor, and not internally to the camera. (There's almost certainly a series diode somewhere though, to keep from coupling the incoming DC back to the batteries.) I'd guess that a good, solid 6V supply would work, as long as it could produce 6V at 1 amp peak with no ripple. If anyone has a Nikon AC adapter, it would be useful to get (a) whatever it says on its label about power output, (b) its no-load output voltage, and (c) it's output voltage with a 5 or 6 ohm load across it, approximating maximum drain with the LCD on, lens motor running, etc.
