Titanic playing at I-MAX theater in Chicago!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

Even with the video ringing up huge sales at most stores,Titanic is showing thur next week at the LOWES IMAX NAVY PIER THEATER IN DOWNTOWN CHICHAGO. The film is only showing at 10 on weeknights and Sunday and 11pm on Friday and Saturday, the film is not in IMAX but is shown on that huge four story screen with 11,000 volt sound system,I think it would be worth the price of an airfare to fly out to Chicago and see Titanic in all its glory!

I live 45 minutes from downtown Chicago. I won't go that far to see it. And, even as an electrical engineer, I won't go into the other problem with the above statement. Michael, why not suggest that people fly in on Swiss Air, with a transfer in Detroit to Northwest Airlines? That would be nearly as practical.

Please people lets not be so dull! If you really loved this film you would do anything possible to see it on the big screen. Mr. Dalton get a life or maybe a higher paying job! If 45 min is to far for you to travel may I suggest a work out program or perhaps you could hitch a ride to the theater, that is if anyone would pick you up?

Forget it, Dalton. As with George, there's no reasoning with him.

Boys, boys, boys. Why is everyone picking on Michael all of a sudden? He's done nothing wrong that I can see.

Michael's unabashedly orgasmic enthusiam for "Titanic" just reached a new low with this post, Emma. I think he, as well as all the rest of us should go for psychiatric treatment (except for Thomas, Kip, and Peter who appear to be the only ones in control of themselves). I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but I am including myself. Michael just highlighted the insanity, and I'm blaming the messenger.

God Dan...who pissed in your Wheaties this morning?

-- Gilded (GildedAgeJunkie@yahoo.com), September 10, 1998.

I don't know. But I suspect George. Or his valet. Or maybe his valet's mother.

-- Dalton (fu@thyrio.com), September 10, 1998.

Perhaps the entire American Aristocracy, Dan. Do you really think they would do anything as improper as pissing????? I don't think so!

-- Misty Chacon (HiRver@concentric.net), September 10, 1998.

God Gilded, you really are precious. "Who pissed in your Wheaties this morning", I'm almost crying I'm laughing so hard. You've voiced my sentiments exactly, although I wouldn't have said it so eloquently :-)

And I don't see what's wrong with Michael's posts, he normally just lets us know where Titanic is in the box office, that sort of thing, and Dan Draghici does the same thing.

Thanks, Ems! I like it when I can make people laugh...:)

-- Gilded (GildedAgeJunkie@yahoo.com), September 11, 1998.

I like it when I make people laugh as well Gilded, but I can't do it as well as you :-)

-- Emma (dilemma76@hotmail.com), September 11, 1998.

Aw, go on Emma! :)

(Let's really piss off Dan and just compliment each other on this thread every day for the next four months! Just kidding Dalton...*wink*)...

I wouldn't dish it out if I couldn't take it, Gilded. Give me your best shot....

-- Dan Dalton (foo@bar.com), September 13, 1998.

Dan, darling...I DO wish you had a sense of humor. I WAS JUST PLAYING WITH YOU! :)

-- Gilded (GildedAgeJunkie@yahoo.com), September 13, 1998.

Ouch! Right between the eyes - implying I don't have a sense of humor! Next you'll be telling me I'm not intelligent and good-looking!

-- Dalton (foo@bar.com), September 13, 1998.

Well...I can't tell those things in this forum, unfortunately. Your sense of humour, however (or lack thereof, in this case), comes through loud and clear...

Hahahaha...sparring with you is such great fun Dan!
