Can you identify these lenses?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

I currently have a 10" Ektar 6.3 lens, other identification inclues No. 4 Acme Synchro. I also have a Compur 4.5 Tessar 13.5cm with identification of F. Deckel Munchen/ Carl Zeiss. First off, can anyone identify the quality of these lenses? My intent is to shoot 4x5 B&W landscapes with a 90 mm and print to a width of approx. 4 feet. Probably shoot T-MAX 100 and process in Kodak recommended chemistry...still undertermined. Based on what I've seen at this sight, it appears that a Super Angulon LF? is the lens of choice. Any comments would help.

Re: "10" Ektar 6.3 lens" the commercial ektar is a very good lens, lots of people still use it. It should cover an 8x10 neg. easily. As far as the quality of YOUR lens & shutter, have a repair station check it out for fungus and shutter accuracy.

Re: 90mm lens. new Schneider Super Angulon, Rodenstock Grandagon or Nikon SW are are comparable in quality.
