Buying digicam in Tokyo

Going to Tokyo on bussiness trip soon, I want to buy Fuji MX-700 there (probable in Shinjuku district, in Yodobashi Camera). Does any of you know how much they give discount for foreigners and whether the guarantee will be valid in the USA ?

I recently bought my Olympus D-340 in Tokyo (where it is known as the c-840. I'm not familiar with the "discount" you're talking about, but if you're referring to tax or duty refunds, they'll give you the appropriate receipt in the store provided you have your Passport when you buy the camera.

As far as guarantee, I don't see why it wouldn't be honored. Just because your receipt will be in Japanese, there will still be a model number and date in English. Plus, I specified that I was going to use my camera in the USA, and they gave me the appropriate English software. THe instruction manual was already quad-lingual.

I am planning on going to Tokyo next week. Am I better off purchasing a digital camera in Tokyo (in terms of cost) or should I purchase one off the Internet? I reside in the US. Thanks in advance.
