Sometime this week Titanic will finally hit the 600 million mark after grossing 570,000 this weekend and falling out of the top 20 for the first time ever. It's current US gross stands at 599,687,000 million. A box office web site called Box Office Guru will be tracking this historic movie milestone all this week!

Remember that the best ship disaster movie of all time, "The Poseidon Adventure" , which cost only $9 million to produce, grossed $90 million domestically. That's a 10 times return on investment! "Titanic" has a long way to go to match this success (about $1.4 billion more).
