I would like to announce that Ed Bell, author of "Privileged Information: The Millennium Economic/Computer Breakdown" and Rocky Cowie, a leading food preparation and storage expert, will be speaking at the Double Tree Inn (not for free to us) on Gateway in Springfield on Sept 8. You may attend either the afternoon or evening session by pre-registering by calling (541)688-8742 (ask for Kim) or by emailing mdarling@pacinfo.com. Tickets are $8 if you pre-register and $14 at the door. The conference will also hightlight excerpts from Ken Klein's Millennium Bug video. Ken's new Y2K Family Preparedenss video series and Y2K Family Preparedenss National Yellow Pages will be made available at the conference. I hope this conference will help get the word out to the public about Y2K in the Eugene/Springfield area and help those of us who would like to see continuing preparedness efforts increase tap into the incredible resources I know are out there.
