Finally figured out what word Aeon is saying. She refers to the Monican Enforcer Aegis in a couple episodes. I'm pretty sure she's saying "aegis", the meaning fits: "protection" or "sponsership". It appears to be the legal tool (as legal as is possible in Monica, that is) that allows the Monican Enforcers the justification to do what they do, which is, to take control of a situation. examples of use by Aeon in the episodes: ("Thanatophobia", to Onan) "I'm comandeering your libido under Monican Aegis. This is a police action, lover. You're mine!". ("Isthmus Crypticus", to Una) "Pay attention, girl. Your services are being comandeered by a directive under Monican Enforcer Aegis, 71225."

Umm...I'm not going to bother going back to the episodes right now, but wouldn't "edict" make more sense? ie. "Monican Enforcer Edict 71225". Of course, if it's Aegis, it's Aegis. Whatever.

Well, if you listen, you can definitely pick out "g" and "s" sounds in the word, whatever it is.

I would say it's aegis - very difficult to confuse an 's' sound and a 't' sound - try it out a little bit - your mouth moves completely differently...

Watched this one the other day, Thanatophobia,that is. This is an interesting side of Aeon, it's really s/m; with her proposed use of 'electricity' for Onan, and her statement, I'm comandeering your libido under Monican Aegis', it's pretty sexy. Well, I'll venture the first comment, I suppose it reveals the class I'm in, but the men I have known have been so busy fighting for control the idea of a woman having it has not seemed sexy to them at all. The idea of Aeon, who works for no one, but herself, "No one can make me do anything..." is exciting to me as a lowly worker anyway. But Trevor, who is a dictator, he likes the idea, it's a toy to him, let go, or take control, and isn't that a fresh view.
