I'm interested in finding someone who has experience with both the Nikon900 & the Olympus D340L who can compare & explain the advantages of purchasing one versus the other.

Gene, You really should look into the Ricoh 4300 or the Ricoh 300z..I got the 300z and traded up to the 4300...fits in my jacket pocket, VERY good photos, nice features etc..smaller than the Nikon..better optics than the Oly,,check it out
