Leo's roots...

Leonardo DiCaprio is resisting a call to return to his roots. The New York Daily News says the Titanic star is on the most-wanted list by the National Italian American Foundation, which wants to honor him this year along with the likes of Barbara Sinatra and actress Anjelica Huston. DiCaprio, whose aversion to award shows is well-documented, has yet to make up his mind. "It's not that he doesn't feel Italian," his publicist Cindy Guagenti explains to the paper. "That's why he's thinking about coming. He's just shy about accepting awards."

"Shy about accepting awards"? Let's all notice that Leo WAS at the Golden Globes where he was nominated for "Titanic", and he was NOT at the Oscars, where he wasn't nominated. I'll be interested to see if he goes to this latest. Please keep me informed, even if by e-mail, Dan.

He's about as Italian as Samuel L. Jackson. His roots are German and his name came from his mother's affection for looking at DaVinci paintings. Besides, how many Italians do you know that have Wilhelm as a middle name?
