White Button on Canon MA Power Winder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon FD : One Thread

I recently purchase a Canon MA Power Winder for my AE-1 Program. It is not hard to figure out except for the white button placed in the position where your pinky rests when holding the camera. Can anyone tell me what this button is for? Thank you.

Oops - this is the third time I saw your question somewhere in the Net. Anyway, here's the third answer: It's the high speed switch. Pressing this button immediately switches the MA to the highest possible frame rate (4 resp. 5 fps). You press this button with your pinky while your index finger presses one of the shutter buttons.
