Titanic continued to amaze as it grossed 1.5 million for the three day weekend,July24-26 at 837 sites. This is up 200,000 from last weekend. It is very unusal for a film to increase its gross after one week at discount theaters. Only about 6.7 million to hit the 600 million mark. The overseas total has now reached 1.174billion.

If Titanic keeps doing this well, it might also be the first movie in history that you can see at cinemas and purchase it on home video at the same time. Woohoo!

I checked our (Australian) papers last night and it's only being shown during movie marathons at one cinema, so it won't be there for much longer. =(
