Is there any word on when this camera will be on dealer's shelves and when will we see a review?? I'm surprised that there does not seem to be much curiosity or interest in this camera

The lack of curiosity does seem puzzling, given the many stellar features it apparently will offer. From what we've heard, it won't be available until September at the earliest, so it's possible that Canon has simply been holding their PR efforts in check until they have a more definite delivery date. We've been promised one of the first available units in the US to test, probably in the September time frame. (The only samples in this country now apparently are hand-built prototypes, and we want to make sure we have something representative of final production before we test it.)
