Forgotten Quote

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic Pages Forum : One Thread

Many years ago I had a book mark with a quote that ended "what ever good I may do, let me do it now for I will not pass this way again." I can't remember the first part or the author. Does anyone know the author and/or have the complete quote. Thanks for the help.

Here's the complete quote:

"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

-- Stephen Grellet (Quaker minister and missionary)

On CEF you'll find a link that contains a short bio along with a ton of unwanted information about his surviving papers.
