Need Your Help On Software

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I came across a website: http:///www.epri.com/evaly2k/index.html There is a long list of software that either has been tested, not tested, and tested but not compliant. I'm not a computer whiz, but can someone tell me what this list represents? I e-mailed the person in charge but no response! Thanks for your help!

P.S. This is for the electricity industry for power plants.

This is a list of (popular?) industry software and the results of testing done by EPRI. How you use this information depends on your purposes. There are a number of these lists in existence including some done by the military. The problem is if the package is deemed compliant, how was it tested? What dates were used, what test scenarios? It can be useful for determining if a package has NOT tested compliant. That could save someone the effort of doing their own testing. The converse is not necessarily true.
