IMAGE: Fern, Log and Wildflowers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Nature Photography Image Critique : One Thread

This is a scene I found in a rainforest area in the Pacific Northwest.

Shot with a 24mm lens at about 2 seconds (f22), on an overcast day (isn't it always, in the Northwest?), on Velvia (35mm).

Scanned with my HP Photosmart, originally at 2400PPI. The chrome is razor sharp...it's hard to post a scan that does it justice with a 50 filesize limit.

Nice shot. Good composition and exposure.

BTW I think that the URL of the image should be in "quotes" to be strictly correct. i.e. img src="URL" etc. You didn't do that and it seems to work for my browser, but it may not work for everyone.

If you want to post a link to a huge file at full resolution, feel free. Just keep the files loaded by this page small (50K or less) so those with slow modems don't give up before the image appears!

OOPS! You're right. It works in Netscape 3.04, 4.05 and IE 3.02, but in case anyone is having problems, it's:

I suppose this is a "top view" image, but do you think it might look better as a vertical image? If so, which side is up? :-)
