Read your homeowners insurance policy very carefully. Note that the policy is void due to riots or civil insurection. Oh, but I thought my policy would cover it. NOPE! People with the ability to bug-out will stay around to protect their homes from people with no where to go and no means to survive when they get there.

The moral to this story is, forget the house save your butt when TSHTF. Your life is not worth a VCR. Some looter is going to have 1000 VCR's and no power to run them. He will look awfully silly sitting around starving in front of 50 TV's that will not work.

Most poeple have this idea that everyone will head for the hills. Well, think about it. Most people will not have the means to head for the hills. They will have to stay with the only shelter they know, home sweet home.

The image of looters trying to sell worthless electronic equipment painted such a ridiculous picture that I could not help but laugh.
