3rd tape to be released august 11

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

at last, it might finally come out. For those of us that despise eMpTyV, and heard the rumors and searched and searched for this, this comes as a god-send, at last, Operation Terminus will be released!

I found it at videoserve.com, or save time and go to:

So am I correct in saying that with Operation Terminus all the Aeon flux episodes are now available on video tape?

We can hope... In order to capture all of Aeon on video tape, the third tape will have to have three of the half-hour episodes (#1 "Utopia or Deuteronopia?", #5 "The Demiurge", and #8 "Ether Drift Theory") and the 2nd season short, dubbed "Night".

I can't wait to see Ether Drift Theory on video. I suspect that there was a lot of footage that was cut out of the aired version. Did anyone notice the close-up shot of the fish for, what, about one tenth of a second, right after Linze drags Bargeld out of the lab? It seems like a jagged edit. Hopefully the video version will have missing footage.

Well, it says it's 75 mins. That's about an extra 5 mins of footage, right?

Let's see... hopefully 5 minutes of promos maximum, and Night was about 4 or 5 minutes, so that leaves atleast 65 minutes. Episodes are 21 minutes long when they're aired, so they should be a bit fuller. I hope so, anyway -- both the Demiurge and Ether Drift Theory seemed to whiz by a bit too fast when they were aired.

Amazon.com just confirmed the release of Operative Terminus and the box set in august.
