Digital event imaging systems

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I am interested in purchasing a digital event imaging system. I would appreciate any information about vendors, strengths and weaknesses of different systems, and any relevant information from anyone who is using one.

Kodak has been very big in event imaging for a long time, and you'll doubtless be able to find information at www.kodak.com if you're persistent enough. Another significant player is Sony, with systems built around their "Catseye" tethered camera. (Lots of amusement parks use the Sony system.) I don't have a contact for Sony, wouldn't want to send you fishing through Sony's doubtless voluminous web pages. The division you want though is the one located in Montvale, NJ, at 3 Paragon Drive. (The division in Parkridge NJ is different.)

Good Luck!
