I am interested in a Digital Mavica (10x) but have some questions:

1) Do you know what JPEG compression % it uses (how much loss) when it saves the image to floppy?

2) Digital Mavica seems to be a popular camera- do you plan to add it to your reviews along with sample images?

2) The Mavicas are definitely popular. Sony indicated in February they might be interested in having the Mavicas listed somewhere in a summer timeframe (probably once they had gotten the new models out). We've been so busy, we haven't pursued them on this, but plan to soon...

We bought the Digital Mavica FD-7 at the office. I don't like it. From what I can tell from the information saved with the image, it uses 47:1 compression. There is little difference between the Std and Fine modes. The files sizes ar around 47K.
