Hey that's great that it's #8 in Australia. We've got a lot of new releases coming out at the moment and it's excellent that Titanic can hold it's own against them.

It's fascinating that "Titanic" is still #1 in Japan after 26 weeks. It even premiered in Japan before the U.S. Perhaps the movie has added resonance given the current recession in Japan. It's over-confidence and complacency in the full-speed-ahead Japanese economy during the 80's that led to iceberg of crashing real-estate prices and bank failures in the early 90's from which they still have not recovered. Hopefully they can plug the leaks before this metaphor spreads to the U.S. as the Carpathia....
