This book is two stories weaved in one! It's about Four 11 year olds who are entered in an Academic competition. They win every one they go to. Why? Because of their experiences the previous summer. It tells a few of the questions the people ask, and what happens. Here's an example:

"What is the meaning of the word 'calligraphy' and from what language does it derive?"

The buzzer sounded. It was Noah Gershom.

Then it goes into telling his summer experience, and in-between, it sort of answers that question.

This book is good for doing vocab packets and book projects on. It is very funny, and your teacher (s) will probably approve of it, because it has won the John Newbery Medal. Read on, dudes!!! Catherine :-D
