I am building a 1/8th scale Husler diesel ( 5hp/gas/hydraulic ) from the tiny HO model produced by Athearn. Iam looking for photos,drawing and history of the prototype locomotive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't been able to identify any exact prototype for the Hustler. I think Model Power also did a Hustler in HO which was similar to the Athearn one. Porter and Davenport are the only manufacturers which come close, but you might also want to check GE.

Start researching Plymouth and Porter records for information about their small diesels. Ask about old Plymouth and Porter catalogs for photos and model numbers.
