How much time is REALLY left?

I'm no genius, nor a guru. What that means is that if I'm finally getting it, how long will it be before the rest of the world gets it? Not long I'm afraid. Then how will you sell your house, posessions, etc..? Or get food from empty shelves?

"Getting it" does not seem to have anything to do with being a "genius" or a "guru." I've been trying to spread the word for over a year, and the lack of interest and lack of action among the few interested is appalling. Prioritize and act as swiftly as you can.

Godspeed,

I received a call last night from someone in Penn. looking for a manual grain grinder. He'd looked in local hardware stores, health food stores, then called every supplier found in a couple of books- we're talking probably 20 dealers of storage foods and products. Not one company had any in stock! The last precious metals order I placed- great company 650-348-3000- told me they are selling close to 100,000 gold eagles a month. This is about 31 mil for one company! I asked about shortages and they said shortages are starting to appear but coins are still available. Items I think one must get now- potassium iodate, junk silver or other precious metals, any food stuffs you want to can at Bishop's storehouses (still open to public but for how much longer?), power generator, non hybrid seeds, water purifier, canning supplies, solar equipt., water storage tanks, any specialty food products (powdered eggs, tvp, dehydrated fruits or vegetables, drink mixes, soup bases or mixes)

The following was posted on another thread here. I think it speaks to the growing awareness among the public when a food storage supplier sees orders triple. "U.S.A. Today did a whole section (on y2k) and even though it was a bit diluted it was pretty informative to the average person. I can see that the increase in awareness just in the last several weeks as the orders in my food storage busisness have literally tripled overnight. I am able to talk to hundreds of people across the country. And YES they are relocating, closing their bank accounts and buying guns, gold and food storage. I'm wondering: How many people are publicly downplaying the effects of y2k while privately preparing for major diwsruptions? Rick Cowles says he knows electric utility executives who are buying generators, yet is there a utility in the country that will admit it won't make the deadline? Does anyone have inside information he/she can contribute on that?

Idaho Power, which also supplies electricity to California, included a statement with its April billing, saying that it could not quarantee delivery of power after 1/1/2000.

When was the article about Y2K in USA Today? I heard it was on June 11, but when I went to the library to look at it, I couldn't find anything about Y2K. Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Mary
