Do people pick on Gates because he looks like a geek?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Corporate Suckup Forum : One Thread
Do you think people pick on Bill Gates because he resembles the kid that was always stuffed into the garbage bin in highschool and ended up getting the ultimate revenge? Does he need a makeover? Is it possible to revamp a geek?

Fuck no, it would be impossible to revamp that goony goober even by the best Hollywood plastic surgeon. The only reason he got laid is because he was the broad's boss and even THEN he had to be worth more than 10 billion before she'd let him get to 2nd base.

Of course we don't pick on Bill Gates because he looks like a geek. We leave that kind of playground behaviour at the age of 12.
We pick on him for good reason. His company has and still continues to actively destroy or subvert progress in microcomputer technology.

If Bill Gates acted half as good as he looks, it would be a vast improvement. He looks OK to me. His looks don't concern me. But his actions are dispicale and his software is neither easy to use, nor consistent. He has the biggest con game in the wolrd going. Everyone raves about Microsoft and to me it's like raving about the King's new clothes. I

Microsoft customers should start a class action suit, country by country and hold Billy boy responsible for continually launching bogus OS's, error ridden MS software, NT (notworking) nightmares to put an end to MS's Ponzi scheme in defrauding its customers. The FTC should also join in by slamming a cease and desist orders on all of MS's present and future attempts to sell MS software until the misleading practice to the public has stopped and only bonafide products are released. Microsoft should be split up into two companies:
Company A's job would be to reimburse all of the customers that were screwed in that they were helping to finance BG's bogus 'ideas of Grandeur' going back at least five years. Cash reimbursements are easily administered by Microsoft using its own product key code (the only segment of MS's software components that really work !)
Company B must re-engineer and re-design the entire existing product palette (line) to fit the (B)bill

NO! we pick on him because he is a sad-ass, immoral person who makes software with known bugs! It is slow, takes up too much recources, and is incredibly unstable! $Bill has paid internet sites to make Netscape crash! There was once 500 people working on a microsoft product that they were going to give away, IE!
HE IS EVIL!

hahahahahahahaha. of course! adults *don't* leave that behaviour behind in high school. unfortunately. hell no! I'm sure Bill would be picked on, even if he wasn't an overpaid, productivity-monopolising capitalist pig!

No, they pick on him because he has more money and power then them. But then, deep down, you already knew that.

Hmm you know, often those who complain the most, do the least. I think it's funny how all you rant ( it's cute really ).
Think of this, the only OS's that were really buggy were Win9x: A, 98 1st edition.
And really he's done more good than harm, I sense alot of jealiousy here, and perhaps some whining Linux users - come on guys, Linux suxx, it has and always will - it isn't that popular, and it never was much of a selling ploy - if it were, most companies would have wrote for it ( and please don't whine to us that MS made it hard for them to do so.. big deal, and a poor excuse). End of it all, if you can't play the game the way the big boys do, then delete yourself.
END OF LINE.
