There are several good discussion forums to discuss the political impact of the Y2k problem and personal preparedness issues outside of the realm of losing electricity. You might wish to start at Gary North's forums, or take a look at the usenet newsgroup comp.software.year-2000.

Also, to reiterate, no 'advertisements' for services or products should be posted here, although experienced-based testimonials for a particular solution or product are O.K. as long as you're not selling the product or service, have used it, and found it useful in your own Y2k pursuits (again, in keeping with the topic of this forum). Be advised that postings which don't fit into this niche category will be deleted.
