Aeon on video.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Aeon Flux : One Thread

I remember watching Aeon Flux years ago when I was still in college. MTV, much to my disappointment, doesn't seem to show it regularly anymore. I see from this board that they apparently aired all of the episodes back in April, but I didn't realize that until too late.

Soo.. I've seen a few URL's bandied about here (amazon.com, videocenter.com (?)) and some others. There are, from what I can tell, two vhs tapes, and *maybe* a third one.

Question: Can anyone recommend a reputable source of Aeon Flux on VHS?

Just wondering... Aeon Flux was the best show MTV ever aired.

Definetely buy the tapes! I have the first one on dvd and it rocks! The third tape IS OUT! It's just a matter of you finding it, sence a lot of sights seem to sell out real quick and their doesn't seem to be a very big supply. The first video is the best one to get because it's two hours long! The other tapes don't have as many eps.

Personally I hate MTV, but yes Aeon was the best they had.

There's also the Liquid TV tape which has some of the shorts.

The videos aren't particularly rare. You should be able to order all but 'Operation Terminus' without trouble.

Yes, thank you. I actually found the first tape at a store in a local shopping mall (Suncoast Motion Picture Company). They had it stuck in with all their Anime stuff. I have the other tape on order. The mysterious "third" tape is presenting a slightly more difficult challenge, but I'm sure that I'll eventually come across it (either that or MTV will choose to show another Aeon Flux marathon).

It'll be nice to see the episodes again. Nothing's better than a 20 minute show that can generate hours of conversation.

Thank you.

If it pops up anywhere, it'll be at www.videoserve.com or www.bestvideo.com

I found the first two tapes there and a DVD version. I am still waiting for the third(?)

This is to revise my last note. "Operation: Terminus" is no longer available. I, too, would like this. Does anyone out there have it recorded? I would GREATLY appreciate if someone would send it to me (I'll pay for shipping and tape, of course).

so, let me get this straight... ALL Aeon Flux material has been released on VHS, but only a smiggen on DVD? that would be awfully lame... i used to have them all on off-tv tape... but am looking to get proper copies, and i was hoping on DVD...
