P67 Shutter Shake

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

I am thinking of buying a P67, but I have heard rumors of problems of the opening shutter causing enough vibration to be a problem on long exposures. (I understand the matter of mirror lock up, but I am wondering explicitly about problems caused by the shutter.)

Thanks.

The shutter vib problem is not rumor, but fact. It's not so much of a problem with long exposures but more with long lenses. Don't let this quirk sway you from buying this camera. SR

To add to Steve's comment, the shutter vibration seems to be most noticable at 1/15 sec (from what reading I've done on the subject.) Slower and faster speeds do not present the same degree of "shake".
