Looking for Edward Weston

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo: Creativity, Etc. : One Thread

I recently read Edward Weston's Daybooks and he mentioned having vacationed on a farm in Michigan during his Summers as a youth. I am a Michigan native and fine art photographer that is dedicated to the Michigan landscape as well as the history behind places visited. Does anyone know where this farm could have been located? Weston never really revealed the location in his writings except for the fact that he was very fond of spending his vacations there.

Does Weston have any grandchildren that are photographers that might be reached by e-mail? Perhaps this could be a link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.

Hi Bob. I believe I remember Weston saying something about the farm being near Dexter. I got the idea he was talking about the K-zoo, Jackson Grand Rapids vicinity, but its been a while since I read the Daybooks.

I am in West Branch. Myself and Cliff Brody are trying to get a studio/gallery started. Would love to discuss photography with you over a cup of coffee some time.
