Titanic soundtrack for piano {arrangements}

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TitanicShack : One Thread

All of you with at least a rudimentary ability to play the piano might be interested to know this: a book containing much of the the music from the soundtrack, in fairly simple piano arrangements, has been released and is in music stores. Most of the material is quite playable for anyone with at least a few years of piano study.

The number "Rose" is included, part of which is the material for the piano music played while Jack sketches Rose in the movie. Now you can play it for the loved one of you choice...maybe it will inspire romantic and artistic abilities you never thought you had.

I don't recommend it. Chances are, you'd be better off listening to the soundtrack. If you must have it, get the single which only cost about $4. There are a few music sheets available on the web including when Jack draws Rose. (I don't remember the URL) It sounds pretty good, identical to the one in the movie. The other music in the book will sound weird because it's piano solo. I played a selection and didn't like it very much, that's why I didn't buy it. But the single was very good.

I've only had two years of piano lessons and those were a long time ago. However, I did hear a friend of mine play the MHWGO song and it sounded wonderful. It sounded just like when Jack sketches rose rose to me. I did pick up the book that everyone here is talking about and though I didn't buy it I had to convince myself not to. I loved all the pictures that were in it and hearing my friend play MHWGO on the piano actually made me want to brush up on my piano skills.
