"Titanic" has a Titanic success in Romania

I have just received two email messages from some friends of mine from Romania about "Titanic". The movie started to be shown in the theaters on April 10. The entire country was swept by an immense interest in the movie and the president and other top officials participated at the premiere of the movie. They also showed there some documentaries about the making of the movie, in addition to other programs on the cable TV from HBO and German TV channels. In my home city, Timisoara, the movie played at the two biggest cinemas, with a one hour lag so they could switch the film from a theatre to the other. Lately it is only playing at the biggest cinema, "Capitol", and they compensate with shows at 11:00pm and 2:30am local time. It has never happened something like this before. The biggest event in the city that pulls out crowds of about 50-100,000 people (out of a population of 350,000) is the Easter Sunday when people go to the Cathedral, but it never goes over 1-2am. So "Titanic" has broken all records. Woo-hoo-hoo!

Hi Dan!

I wondered what nationality the name "Draghici" was. Now we all know :-)

Best wishes,
