I was just doing my homework for my Operations Management course and it sited a Research study conducted by Greene (1988) which indicated that 34,000 manufacturing sites within the United States use MRP systems. By reference an MRP system aids managomg inventory and replenishment levels. Is there information on Y2K remediation in the Manufacturing industry and what could be the potential economic impact of system failure connected with Y2K and MRP sytems?
