"City of Angels" Tops Chart, "Titanic" Sank to 3rd Place

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "City of Angels," a romantic drama starring Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan, comfortably flew into the top spot at the North American box office in its opening weekend, according to studio estimates. The film earned $16.1 million and was one of five newcomers to open in the top 10. Last weekend's No. 1, "Lost in Space," slipped to second with $13.6 million, while "Titanic" also sank a notch, to third with $8.7 million. The sci-fi thriller "Species II" opened in fourth with $7.4 million. "The Players Club" opened at No. 5 with $5.6 million.

I can't say I'm all that surprised.Actually, I'm glad that City of Angels was No.1. Don't get me wrong, my all time fave is still the ship, but Angels was a great film. If you liked Titanic, go see Angels.
