'Titanic' Poster Earns Big

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A movie poster autographed by two stars of the Oscar-winning film ``Titanic,'' fetched twice its highest estimate at a Sotheby's auction yesterday. The 40-inch by 27-inch poster -- signed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet -- sold for $3,105. Sotheby's had expected the poster, which was consigned to the auction house by an anonymous owner, to bring up to $1,500. Bidding was brisk and it took less than one minute for George Marciano of Los Angeles to buy it. Marciano, founder of Guess jeans, bid by telephone. An unsigned ``Titanic'' poster, accompanied by a black and white signed photograph of both stars, fetched $632.
