I AM LOOKING FOR A POEM THAT CONTAINS THE PHRASE "OH CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN". I WAS TOLD IT WAS WALT WHITMAN WRITING OF A. LINCOLN. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO YOU COULD PROVIDE. THANK YOU AHEAD OF TIME. I needed to change email address to lower case.

Hi. I was just cruisin' through and i saw your message here. I'm doing a paper on Walt Whitman's poem, "O Captain, My Captain." It was an elegy for Abraham Lincoln, first published in the same book as "When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom'd," which is another elegy. These poems were first published in Whitman's poetry anthology, "Drum-Taps." Hope that helps. You may have found it already.
