While watching the Oscars, I couldn't help but question who should have worn the Heart of the Ocean replica. Who should have worn the necklace, Kate or Celine and why?

I actually thought Gloria Stuart (sp?) should have worn it since it was in her possesion last in the movie! Laura

Gloria Stuart got to wear a $20 million blue diamond. That beats any sapphire replica any day, worn by either Kate or Celine.

I missed how Gloria Stuart got to wear the blue diamond. Who owns it?

I expected that Celine would end up wearing the blue sapphire since she'd be performing and the diamond would be up on stage for longer than an acceptance speech. I'm sure publicity is what the Jewelers wanted. I wonder who will end up buying it at the charity auction.

Kate of course. With the dress she wore it would have been tremendous eye catcher.

Kate Winslet! She was the star of the movie, and you could barely notice the heart with the ugly dress Celine was wearing.

Gloria borrowed the $20 million diamond necklace from Harry Winston Jewelers. I understand that she shopped for it in New York City when she was making the rounds of the TV shows there.

For those of you who are wondering who bought the "Heart of the Ocean" replica, I heard that Celine Dion's husband bought it for her as a surprise.
