Some news items from the past few days:

As you may have heard, _Titanic_ has become the highest-grossing film of all time in U.S. theaters, passing _Star Wars_ in total box office.

Of course, adjusted for inflation, _Gone with the Wind_ is untouchable at number one, with _Star Wars_ number two, and _Titanic_ currently at number nine.

Last Saturday the 14th, editors Conrad Buff, James Cameron and Richard A. Harris won the 1998 Eddie Awards for Best Edited Feature Film from the American Cinema Editors (ACE), for _Titanic_.
