Oprah {Comments about her interviewing style?}

I finally saw the Oprah show with Billy Zane, Kate Winslet and JC on it and I was just wondering what is it with her. She knows we want to hear from them. So why didn't she let them finish what they were trying to say? I really wanted to hear what James thought was eerie about it all, but she just kept interrupting (SO RUDE!!!) and he never got to say!

Response to Oprah

I saw the Oprah show too. It's unfortunate that Oprah tends to do that. Her talk show is the only one I'll watch, but it's just too bad she has this annoying habit of interrupting. I think she justs needs tons of attention. Often her interruptions are to make little jokes that undercut what the guest is trying to say. She'll often ask a BIG question, let the guest say one sentence, interrupt with a joke, then say "We gotta go to commerical." There is a Canadian interviewer named Linehan who really let James Cameron really talk in depth about

There is a Canadian interviewer named Linehan who really let James Cameron really talk in depth about Titanic. I don't know if this answers your question, but he said that he thinks Titanic is so facinating to people because it is a microcosm of the main issues in our world. Different classes of people all "in the same boat", different genders trying to learn how to treat each other properly. We must work together to survive. If we don't, this is just what

Response to Oprah

I agree that she interrupts unnecessarily! Someone e-mail her!

I would like to let oprah know a few more things than just her crappy interview skills and all the brown-nosing that she does. The fact that she seems to always display Asian people in bad light makes her look even uglier than she is. Actually, I don't think I have seen any Asian guests on her show unless they were telling a story that included somekind of failure or they were with a black person. She seems to be racist!
