It's too late to fix it, says Y2K bug chief

The head of [the Australian] Government's millennium bug awareness program says time has run out and Y2K problems will not be solved by January 1,

The Government has run out of time to fix its year 2000 problems and will not be prepared by January 1, 2000, according to the head of its millennium bug awareness program.
