ilford rapid fix for film

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

i was wondering what would be the best and dilution and fix time when using ilfords rapid fixer? the container only lists dilutions and times for fixing paper. the film i mostly use is ilford's delta 100 and 400 but i do have a couple of rolls of HP5 and tri-x.

Using a 1:3 dilution of the rapid fixer, a 4 minute fix should be plenty to completely fix HP5+ or TriX. I fix at least 5 minutes for T-grain films like TMax and Delta.
